If you’re considering RPO, we understand that what our clients say about us is important…
“Great to see a totally different approach to working on the Engagement score. In my ‘previous life’ this has always been driven by the Senior Team deciding what to ‘go after’ and how to action and most of the information from the surveys is never seen outside of the SLT. By doing this with Team Leaders we are driving the engagement of the front line from the off, they are involved immediately and asking for the feedback rather than waiting 6 months for a plan for the SLT, its very open and honest and nothing is being hidden. It takes a great deal of trust and giving up of control by the SLT to do this. Really refreshing and exciting to see a new innovative approach. It certainly challenges the ‘we’ve always done it this way’ mindset!”VICKY DAWES
What changes have you noticed since you started RPO?
Since we started RPO within our site we have seen a huge improvement in our engagement survey scores which is set out by Group. We recently picked up an award for having the highest improvement out of our sector. Besides the award and the recognition that I have had from my peers, it’s the changes that we’ve seen within our team leaders that’s the most tangible one. By that I mean I’ve now got a group of team leaders that accept they are junior managers and they talk like junior managers. They accept that they’ve got responsibility for the team’s development and the accountability of achieving the KPI’s. I’ve never had KPI’s in my team structure previously. So I suppose the RPO has helped me get the team leaders to a state where I want them to be and be able to introduce the change in an accepted manner.
How do you think other companies might benefit from RPO?
I think in today’s climate – business climate that is – most businesses are lucky to be able to reduce costs, maintain efficiency and reduce waste. In other words, increase their cost competitiveness. It can only go so far with machinery. What this has done has helped bridge a gap between engagement with machinery and engagement in getting people to go the extra mile. I think the whole frame work has created clarity as to what, as plant manager, I expect people to do, why are we coming to work? What are we here to achieve? People know that we’re a business, people know understand and accept that the business success has got a direct relationship to us being here in 10 or 20 years time. I think that’s what RPO has helped to create.IAN CLAYTON
I have worked with Cherie for 10 years now as I have grown my career and every time we meet she manages to bring a new perspective on how to progress with the challenges I am facing at that time from influencing certain stakeholders to designing strategic plans. Her ability to understand the multitude of issues that I am facing and distil them down to tangible actions is outstanding and better than anyone else I have worked with. More recently I have worked with Cherie helping me develop my high performing leadership and ensuring I am getting an optimal performance from them as a group. I would recommend Cherie to anyone with confidence.RICHARD LLOYD
Cherie instinctively knows which behaviours need to change to enable a step-change in your performance and by sharing her wisdom, [she] supports effortless transformation in result.MARY JOYCE
Through her vast experience and understanding of the challenges senior managers face today in the dynamic corporate environment, Cherie has worked with me to exceed by previous personal performance and increase my overall influence on the direction of the organisation.CRAIG CUNNINGHAM
The discussions are being received well with all Team Leaders accepting and signing up immediately. I have had very little pushback and questions / queries from the Team Leaders, except in a supportive “this is what we should be doing” style. We have seen, as a result, a dramatic improvement in visible basics such as PPE adherence and workplace tidiness. In the monthly newsletters I have put the improved plant performance down to the ‘efforts of the Team Leaders’ who had worked with Cherie.MIKE RAMSAY
Cherie is a gifted management coach reflecting her many years of experience in supporting business, individual and teams to understand how they can improve their performance and leadership style. Her inspiring personality makes you feel entirely comfortable when discussing personal development even when becoming baffled by the challenge!
Cherie brings an encouraging and positively refreshing approach to personal learning and her open style actively encourages participation and self reflection. I have been fortunate to have been working with her for an extended period of time and am under no doubts the tremendous difference she has made to my own development.JAMES COWLEY
What I found particularly impressive with Cherie’s coaching was her boundless energy and enthusiasm, pragmatic and solution-based approach, and knowledge of behaviours. Cherie’s style of coaching and the programme itself were tailored to the specific situation, which I found much more helpful than previous experiences of catalysts and coaches, where the process was often far too theoretical and ‘process-driven. Cherie creates strong impact and gets results quickly, and I would highly recommend her services to resolving any type of situational or organisational issue.STEPHEN RODBOURNE
Cherie helped me to improve the relationship that I had with my line manager by enabling me to understand how to better manage upwards. This involved discussing the difficult elements of the relationship and Cherie coaching me on how to be pro-active in my dealings with my manager and to be focused and motivated on delivering my Business objectives, which ultimately led to my line manager being perceived in a better light by [Rexam] and, in fact, made me happier too. Cherie was always very motivating about achieving a positive outcome from the situation and never critical about my line manager or myself, this attitude I feel differentiates Cherie from other people in the same market. It was a win-win situation all round. Thank you!KEITH ROWBOTTOM
